Uttoxeter Quilt and Embroidery Show April 2012
Our 'Diamonds' exhibition to commemorate the Queen's Jubilee. We all found the theme and A4 size restriction challenging but nevertheless produced very different pieces as well as an array of 3D items. Unfortunately the lighting made it difficult to take a good photograph and this doesn't show everyone's work but we will post some close ups in the next day or two.

Up and coming
LIFE has been taking over for all of us, hence the lack of posts, however we need to tell you that we will be showing our latest body of work at the Quilt & Embroidery show at Uttoxeter Racecourse in April. This is a real showcase for us and we are really looking forward to it. There will be 2 or 3 of us present by our exhibition for each of the 3 days so do please come along and have a chat.
WE decided to take the Queen's Jubilee year as our inspiration, hence our theme of Diamonds. And due to the limitations of exhibition space we decided to work to a set size, each of us aiming to produce an A4 and a 3D piece. We have all found this a huge challenge, particularly the size constraint. We all work in very different ways, often in different media, but we have each at some stage of our progress with this theme, wondered why we restricted ourselves in what seemed at times to be so many ways!
However, whilst we are not all completely finished we are (hopefully) justifiably proud of our efforts so far.
